Operations Manager Job at GreenWorks Inspections & Engineering – Texas

GreenWorks is seeking a tech-savvy, dynamic, operational plate spinner to join our operations team. While a degree is not required for this role, experience in operations is critical. The right team member will need to work with a strong sense of urgency, quick and effective decision making, an uncanny problem-solving ability, and possess advanced communication skills. GreenWorks is a fast-growing company with a vast array of services and over 120 employees.

Must have the skills and background necessary to:

Coordinate daily business operations

Participate in long term strategy and planning

Assess and analyze departmental operations

Motivate teams to perform at their best

Pivot between macro and micro view seamlessly

Identify cross functionality

Identify areas of opportunity to reduce expenses, increase efficiency, increase value or produce higher ROI

Implement processes

Identify areas of opportunity

Moderate to high skill level with Microsoft Suite including excel, word, outlook, and teams

Ability to learn new software and processes quickly

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Manage overall operations and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, and liability protection as established and set by the Operations Director. The experienced operations manager will ensure ethical and efficient operations. Serve as a company representative. Enhance the operational procedure, systems, and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting, and look for opportunities to expand systems. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company’s policies.

Operations manager duties and responsibilities may include interviewing, selection, and hiring; training new and existing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; authoring and discussing with employees process implementation; addressing employee performance and corrective action plans; administrative work and reporting; research and discovery.

The operations management role does not require a bachelors degree for the right candidate with the appropriate experience. The operations manager will rely on extensive operational management experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and key performance indicators, perform a variety of tasks and lead, perform and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to the operations director and top management. Directly manages and directs operational staff.

“Big picture” thinking, which is key to addressing top-level concerns and finding the best path forward from all of the available data

Interpersonal skills – an Operations Manager must communicate with both executives and staff employees in order to create and administer policy

A thorough understanding of financial and budgeting processes and principles, which allows the Operations Manager to assess the company’s earnings and spending to find areas for improved efficiency and higher profit margins

Strong personal and professional judgment, which are invaluable skills for a role that makes hiring decisions as well as in finding the best solution to organizational dilemmas

Adaptability, enabling the Operations Manager to respond quickly to a shifting reality and adjust initiatives and priorities accordingly

Organizational skills and the flexibility to jump from priority to priority, which are essential to a role that juggles a variety of functions and projects

Foresight, pattern recognition, and vision for efficient processes involving both people and technology

Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
