About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced and driven sales professional to join our fast-growing team. The Sales Development Representative is responsible for selling Skills Union learning experiences to individuals and teams across the UK and Europe. In this role, you will act as the first point of contact for potential students who are interested in learning more about our programmes, and how to set themselves up for a successful career path in the tech industry. Your primary responsibility will be to advise our students and to leverage our sales infrastructure to help drive significant growth for the brand.

We look for people who have a deep passion for sharing their knowledge, who are warm and approachable and who speak from real-world experience. Educational experience is a bonus; all of our new team members will also be trained in our programmes, our instructional and educational approaches, and so this is less important than your attitude, knowledge, experience and portfolio.

What you’ll do:
Act as the first and continual point of contact for prospective students from enquiry through to the enrolment into the programmes using a variety of methods (email, phone and social media)

Manage the entry point of the sales cycle; selling to both individuals and teams across all verticals within the UK and Europe

Proactively qualify inbound leads and arrange interviews with our admissions team.

Develop and maintain our CRM, managing a pipeline of prospects and opportunities and tracking all customer interactions

Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to reach student admission goals on a quarterly basis

Effectively participate in initiatives to drive student recruitment and enrolment opportunities, including online and offline events, conferences and webinars, and networking within the wider London tech community

To provide compassionate, constructive feedback to students, as well as coaching and inspiring students to help them reach their full potential

Actively contribute to our growing global community, and work with all of the other members of the global Skills Union team to ensure the success of our students

What you’ll need:
You are confident using a CRM, with bonus points for experience with Hubspot.

You are the person that your colleagues naturally gravitate to when they are looking for guidance

You are a confident professional with strong problem-solving, communication and analytical thinking skills

You are proactive, autonomous and resourceful

A strong interest in the tech sector and in the latest education approaches

Above all, you have a great attitude, a passion for working with people, and a deep love for what you do
